2007-2008 Challenge!
Challenge 2007-2008
-
Here are the guidelines for this year's challenge:
Fabric: 1/2 yard Water Color Meadow by Robert Kaufman is the focus for the challenge.
You must use a recognizable amount of this fabric in your quilt. Additional fabrics are your choice.
Size: Your finished quilt must have a perimeter of not less than 80 inches or more than 160 inches.
The quilt can be any shape.
Embellishments: You must use at least 12 inches of ribbon, lace or yarn, etc. on you quilt.
Add at least 3 buttons, beads, sequins, charms or other do-dads to the quilt. If you wish, add even more.
Think feathers, netting, gauze, etc.
Quilting: The quilt can be hand or machine quilted by you or someone else.
If quilted by someone else that person must receive credit.
Due Date: The quilt will be completed by the September 2008 guild meeting.
A covered label must be on the back of the quilt. Attach a sleeve for hanging and include a rod.
The quilts will be judged. (Judges will be selected at a later date.) Hopefully we can find a place to
hang the challenge but that is not definite at this time.
Prizes: Ribbons will be awarded in the categories below. A quilt cannot win more than two ribbons.
