Fabric Dying The Guild owns a box of dyes that are available for member use. Just pay for the dyes you used. No formal group exists at this time. For more information, call LaVaovne Weaver at 466-7152. Hearts & Hands The CPQG community service quilt projects are coordinated by the Hearts & Hands committee. They will select worthy projects for the year and inform the guild at large about how to participate. For more information call Chris Miller or check our website. This year children's quilts will be made and collected for Comfort Covers. Friendship and Interest Groups Most of these groups meet weekly to provide members with an opportunity to socialize, work on your own projects, trade ideas & books, and even arrange/take field trips (aka fabric buying expeditions!). Many of these groups meet in members' homes so space may be limited. Centre Pieces encourages members to form new friendship or interest groups when the need and inclination arise. Alley Cat Quilters Meet Thursday mornings, 9:45 am to 11:30 am to sit, visit, and quilt together. Call for current meeting location. Open to all Centre Pieces members. Contact Cindy Alley at 237-5276 or by email. Block Exchange Meets on the 2nd Thursday evening of each month, except in November and December, at Perkins at 5:30 pm. Cover Girls Meet Wednesday mornings, 9:00 am to noon to work on projects, trade ideas, and socialize in members' homes. Open to all Centre Pieces members. Contact Jan Donaldson at 237-4362. Odds & Ends Meet Wednesday mornings from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Zion Lutheran Church in Boalsburg. Bring a bag lunch, work on your own projects, trade ideas, books and friendship.
