Wednesday Meeting - May 21 - Sewing Workshop

    Join us at 1 PM for a sewing workshop at Pine Hall Lutheran Church.  The hall will be open at 12:30 for setup.  We are hoping to assemble lots of fronts and backs for charity quilts, but you are welcome to bring your 2 1/2" strip project as well.  We need 5-6 sewing machines, so bring yours if you can, but we also need people to iron, pin, cut and trim, etc., so bring your sewing supplies.  DianeG will be bringing her AccuCutter to cut your fabric into accurate strips for that project you've been inspired to start (or finish!).

Tuesday Evening Meeting - May 13 - Strip Patterns

     We will meet at 6:30 (social), 7 PM for the meeting at Blue Course Community Church for a program on projects using 2 1/2" strips.  In addition to some videos of techniques, please bring any projects  and tips you have for using strips.  Think more than jelly roll or potato chip blocks.  Such as Hip to be Square, String Ribbons, String X, Step in Time, etc.

    Also, bring any projects for Sew & Tell, not just your strip projects.

Red Bud Quilt Show winners

 CPQG had 14 entries in the Red Bud Show. 2 were “display only”. Of the remaining 12, there were 8 ribbons. The 8 ribbons were won by 4 members (IrisM-1, BeckyT-3, SueY-3, KarenP-1) The 14 quilts were submitted by 7 members.

Quilts for Hendersonville / Asheville NC Due Date - May 9

     If you are donating a quilt for the North Carolina hurricane victims, CindyR needs them by May 9.  She's in the Green Booklet!

Wednesday Daytime Meeting - April 16 - Round Robin of Techniques

     Join us at Pine Hall Lutheran Church at 1 PM for a round robin of techniques by several of our members.  Demos will include binding, flying geese, and hand quilting.  Bring your Sew & Tell as well.

Redbud Quilt Show - April 25-26 - Huntingdon

    The Redbud Quilt Guild is sponsoring the 34th annual Huntingdon Quilt Show April 25th, 9 am to 6 pm and April 26th, 9 am to 3 pm at the Huntingdon Community Center located at 310 5th Street, Huntingdon, PA. 

    In addition to some beautiful quilts, there will be homemade crafts, vendors, classes, demonstrations and door prizes. Area quilters may register quilts on Thursday, April 24th 9 am to noon.
