Borders can simply make a patchwork larger or can frame it. Borders can stop the eyes from wandering or give them a rest. Borders can be very simple or as complicated as you wish. What is your favorite border? Do you applique, piece, or simply say “Done”? Show us by bringing a quilt you have done or a picture (and maybe instructions) of a border you would like to try. Perhaps you have a quilt that you know needs a border, but you are stumped so it sits in the UFO or PIG pile. Bring it.
Meeting is in person (don't forget your mask!) at the STATE COLLEGE YMCA. 677 W Whitehall Rd, State College, PA 16801, NOTE CHANGE of address. This will be our permanent space for 3rd Wed meeting. Although the Shellers Bend condo community room was a wonderful space, we have outgrown it.
We are also entertaining ideas for Feb & Mar meetings. Let Leslie know if you have anything you can present or are interested in learning about.
Members show of favorite tools, sewing room setup, or something used in quilting that isn’t normally thought of as a quilting tool or supply. Please send Sue Younkin pictures of your set up or your tools that aren’t sold in sewing stores. Don’t wait to be asked for pictures; send them to Sue tonight with a brief description.
There will be time for Sew & Tell. Take a picture and place it on your computer desktop so you will be
ready to share your project to its best advantage.
Our first Friday sewing opportunity has been snowed in. We'll meet next week at the Evangelical Free Church on Blue Course Dr.
