UFO Fridays, embroidery, Comfort Covers, and banner updaters, OH MY!

Blue Course Community Church was busy on January 13. Machine embroidery people were working in one corner, and Comfort Covers was busy making fingerless fleece mitts in the other corner. We had text correctors, cutters, pinners, sewers, QC personnel, and trimmers. All told we made 52 pairs of fleece mitts that were delivered to Out of the Cold after the meeting. Big Thank You's go to Fran H, Sue Y, Lenore C, Lynn S, Nancy S, Jill W, Leslie D, Peggy R, and Peggy T.

If you want to come join in the fun Feb 10 we are making walker bags. See additional information in the newsletter.

On Friday January 14 the group will make fleece fingerless mitts.  The instructions are here. if you want to participate, please bring any of these items:  fleece larger than 11" x 10" you can donate, pins, a cutting board/rotary cutter, and sewing machine with thread.  Stations will be set up in an assembly line, so not everyone needs to bring all the equipment.

On Friday March 10 we'll sew fidget quilts for dementia, autism, and preschool friends. For these we will use washable textures like rough lace and washable silky polyester and moveable things like big zippers and big snaps.  More on this soon.
