Friday, May 6th from 9 am to 4 pm and Saturday, May 7th from 9 am to 3 pm

There will be lots of handmade items by members of the Ladybug Quilt Guild as well as gently used quilting tools, patterns, etc. in our Second Time Around section.

Be sure to check out our Raffle Baskets and the raffle of a new Serger.

Sew What of Delaware will have a booth with items available in their store.

There will be door prizes given out each day. Bring canned goods and/or handmade pillowcases to get extra tickets for the door prizes.

3rd Wednesday Meeting - April 20 - Template & Ruler Exploration

 Join us on Wednesday, April 20, from 1-3PM at the State College YMCA in their Teen Room (just inside the main entrance, overlooking the pool).  This month we ask everyone to bring their templates and rulers (whether you know how to use them or not!) to show the group and perhaps learn new tricks from other quilters.  This meeting is informal and every month we do something different.  Ideas for future meetings are always welcome!

Tuesday April 12 Change of plans

 

Well, we’ve had our share of April Fools jokes in the programming department.  Our Tuesday and Wednesday speaker, Joyce Hughes, had a significant health issue and has cancelled/postponed her programs with us.  So….

April 12, 2022 6:30, South Hills School of Business (behind the YMCA) 480 Waupelani Drive

Since we haven’t had any Show and Tell in a long while, please bring your finishes and almost finishes, and any problem quilts you would like help with.  We’ll spread them out on tables and our quilt racks at South Hills and have a great walk around.  Bring your Guild Challenge in progress, too. 

We’ll also have a business meeting so come with lots of ideas for the new Guild year. 

Elections are coming up:  how do your skills and interests align with Guild needs?

And finally, we’ll play some Bingo and clear out the gifts and prizes you all donated last summer from Karen’s sewing room.

 Join us at South Hills Institute for a presentation by Joyce Hughes on Thread Painting.  The meeting begins at 6:30 for the social and 7 PM for the presentation.  The address is 480 Waupelani Dr, State College, PA.  This is our regular monthly meeting, so there is no fee to attend.
