Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with lunch available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Sunday 12 noon to 5 p.m.

Ditty Bags Update

The community sewists sent Claire home with 126 ditty bags for Operation Shoebox.  We had a lovely lunch provided by Claire of Greek lemon-chicken soup and tzatziki on pita bread.  It was a wonderful break.

How fast can you deplete your stash? Here's another feel-good option.

Each month Cindy Zamirowski ships out homemade fresh new pillowcases to our deployed troops.
Please note that we only ship NEW pillowcases. Do not send used pillowcases.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Email Cindy @ Cindysbakingangels@comcast.net of your wish to participate. Her shipping address will be forwarded to you.
All "Pillowcases" will be shipped to Cindy in the states to be included in upcoming boxes to the Troops along with any special message you may have. Of course, you can always join one of our Teams and ship in your own Goodie Boxes, too!
The next deadline for receipt of Pillowcases is Wednesday, October 30th!

PieceMakers Quilt Guild fundraising auction

PieceMakers Quilt Guild is holding their annual fundraising auction of quilt related items at 7:00 pm, Sept. 25, 2019, at Saint Peters Lutheran Church,121 N. Spring Street (corner of Union and Spring Streets) Middletown, Pa. A Baby Lock Crescendo Sewing Machine and Tutto 2XL Carrying Case on wheels is just one of the many quilt related items to be auctioned. Check them out PieceMakers Quilt Guild!

Date:        Thursday, September 26th - 2019

Time:        9:30 am .  3:00 pm

Where:        Transfer Station  (,5 mile after the Nittany Mall)

We'll be sewing as many bags as we can to make a shipment to Operation Shoebox in early October.

Light lunch provided -- bring your favorite beverage  --  coffee will be provided

Sewing machines will be available for anyone not  wanting to tote their machine  (Singer Featherweight and Singer 301)

Good evening CPQG friends,
1. Don’t forget our first meeting of the new year is tomorrow night, Tuesday, Sept 10, at 7:00 in the Mt. Nittany Middle School Library.  We’ll be making Christmas ornaments to take home.
2. Other dates to remember:
     a. Sept 16-19 QBs In-town Retreat, no sewing at St. John’s on Sept 17.
     b. Sept 17 CPQG Board Meeting at Super 8 , 11:-12:00
     c. Sept 18 CPQG Day meeting at Transfer Station, Puffy Christmas Tree Workshop taught by Judy Hackman. 9:30-3:00 with a break at noon for lunch and a meeting.
     d. Sept 26 Ditty Bag workshop at Transfer Station
