CPQG Interest Groups

These groups meet to provide members with an opportunity to socialize, work on projects, trade ideas and books, and even arrange and take field trips (aka fabric buying and petting expeditions). Some of these groups meet in member's homes so spaces may be limited. Centre Pieces encourages members to form new friendships or interest groups when the need and inclination arise.
Check your Membership Book for contact phone numbers and/or emails.

In case of weather or other crisis, check our homepage before you come.  As always, if State College School District is closed for weather, so are we.

Thursday Morning Group (aka Alley Cat Quilters )
Meets (surprise!) Thursday mornings from 9:30 - 11:30 am at the Willows Building of the Juniper Brookline facility in the Mt. Nittany Dining Room. We bring our own projects to work on and enjoy each other's company. A no-frills group, snacks and beverages are not provided. Newcomers are always welcome! For more information, or for directions, contact Cindy Alley.

Tuesday QBs (Quilting Bee)
The QBs meet every Tuesday morning from 9:30 am to noon pm at St. John's United Church of Christ in Boalsburg. We bring our own projects to work on and share ideas and fellowship.  Open to all quilters! For more information, contact Bobbie Muscarella.

UFO (Unfinished Objects) Friday
This group meets every Friday at the Blue Course Community Church from 10:00-noon. Entrance is in back.   Bring a UFO or just sit and chat.  We love show and tell and there's always an opinion on how to finish that UFO.  Open to all knitters, sewists, and quilters!

Comfort Covers
Our group is in need of all sizes of quilts and blankets: small for babies, lap-sized, and twin sized. Comfort Covers gives quilts and blankets to surrounding hospitals and shelters, and quilts are always needed! Quilts will be collected at every meeting. For more information or to drop off quilts, contact Project Lead Lenore Clarke.

Toys for Tots
Focus is on quilts for children. Deadline is December 1.
